Can I Offer Prayer during Istihadah (irregular bleeding)?

Question:

I had my regular period which lasts for 7 days. After this, I saw watery yellow discharge which is not normal so I classified it as istihada. It usually never comes on my underwear and it usually remains inside my vagina, and is only visible when I wipe. For all my prayers I've washed my vagina, and renew my wudu but I did not put cloth or pad. This was because I forgot it was a ruling. When I was praying Fajr, i remembered halfway that you have to put a pad. So I checked and there was only water on my underwear from washing it, but no distinct discharge. When I wiped deeply with tissue there was a tiny bit of yellow discharge, but I doubt that it might've mixed with water and went on my underwear. What is the ruling here? If I only see water on my underwear and I don't see any distinct yellow discharge on my underwear, are my prayers valid?

Thank you very much for your question. It is our pleasure to answer it.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

A woman who suffers from Istihadah (irregular bleeding) does not have to insert a cotton or tissue inside her vagina to make check if there is blood or not. Because if you insert a piece of cotton and came out wet, then you have invalidated your ablution, because the exit of any secretions from inside the vagina to the outside invalidates ablution. Hence, your prayer is still valid sister as long as you do not know the ruling inshallah. Next time, do not check by inserting something inside and make prayer directly if there is no blood on your legs or in the underwear.

And Allah knows best.
