Question:

I would Like to ask this time if it permissible or is it allowed to do ablution that not repeated three times like washing hands to the wrist 1 time, Rinsing the Mouth 1 time, Sniffing up and Blowing out Water 1 time, And Etc.. Is it permissible?

Thank you very much for your question. It is our pleasure to answer it.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

Dear brother, washing the body parts three times during wudu (ablution) is sunnah (not obligatory). Therefore, it is permissible to wash your body parts only once or twice. Abdallah ibn `Abbas said that Allahs’s Messenger (peace be upon him) performed each detail of his ablution once, doing no more than that." (Al-Bukhari)

However, the sunnah is to wash them three times.

My father saw `Amr bin Abi Hasan asking `Abdullah ibn Zaid about the ablution of the Prophet. `Abdullah bin Zaid asked for earthenware pot containing water and in front of them performed ablution like that of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He poured water from the pot over his hand and washed his hands thrice and then he put his hands in the pot and rinsed his mouth and washed his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out with three handfuls of water. Again he put his hand in the water and washed his face thrice and washed his forearms up to the elbows twice; and then put his hands in the water and then passed them over his head by bringing them to the front and then to the rear of the head once, and then he washed his feet up to the ankles." (Al-Bukhari)
