Question:

Is it ok for not reciting any other short long Surah after Surah-Al Fatiha in the Salah?

Thank you very much for your question. It is our pleasure to answer it.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

Yes brother, there is no harm in not reciting short or long surahs after Al-Fatihah. Reciting Quran after Al-Faatihah in prayer is not obligatory, either in a fard (obligatory) prayer or a nafl (supererogatory) prayer, whether the prayer is one in which Quran is recited out loud or one in which it is recited silently, whether one is joining the prayer late or otherwise.

Abu Hurayrah said: In every prayer there is recitation. What we heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say, we tell you, and what he did not tell us about we cannot tell you. Whoever recites Um al-Kitaab (i.e., Surat al-Faatihah) has done enough, and whoever does more than that, that is better." (Agreed Upon)

And Allah knows best.
