Question:

Please let me know when praying and doing Sajdeh is it must to touch the nose to the ground? Or is it Sonneh?

Thank you very much for your question. It is our pleasure to answer it.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

Dear brother, Ibn `Abbas narrated that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones; on the forehead - and he pointed at his nose, the hands (the palms), the knees and the tips (toes) of the feet." (Agreed upon)

Placing the nose on the ground is necessary (wajib), and not obligatory, because of the deliberate, consistent practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Hence, you must place your nose on the ground during the prostration, unless you have a legally acceptable excuse not to do so.

And Allah knows best.
